IO devices list on IPVD
CompletedHi,
I just figured out that is impossible to search on IPVD for IO devices !
Available :
- Camera
- Multisensor
- Encoder
- DVR
- Other
I/O are not listed as other, but as IO (as you can see on Axis P8221 https://nxvms.com/ipvd?search=P8&camera=P8221)
For my project I sometimes need to list all I/O supported devices, any idea on how to perform it ? Or another list/post ? Can't find anything on Nx...
Regards

Edit. just found out how to get it by modifying the URL, might be useful for others :
https://nxvms.com/ipvd?hardwareTypes=io
Only 2 products listed, seems very small... No Advantech ? No Moxa ?

Hi Guilhem Decoux,
We have a few models that we support that require an I/O license.
They are the following:
- Axis P8221
- Axis A9161
- Advantech ADAM 6050
- Advantech ADAM 6052
- Advantech ADAM 6060
These models appear as an I/O in the resource tree and can be displayed as a tile in the grid as seen in this video.
For both brands, more types may work, because they are based on the same API, but this has never been confirmed. In addition, many I/O devices can be controlled via an HTTP request or can send an HTTP request. An example of this is the GJD IPAnything. Really a decent device.
Also the Allnet All3500 is such device and the setup is shown in this video.
You can then control an output by means of a soft trigger, but it is also possible that the device sends an HTTP request to Nx and thus triggers an action in Nx.
You can also easily create button panels through open-source 3rd party applications as shown in this video. The latter option is, in addition to the I/O on cameras themselves, the most used application, because it allows you to be very flexible without having to pay for the I/O licenses.

Hi Norman,
Thanks for feedback, we already installed A9161 on 2 projects, and P8221 in our showroom.
I was looking for a solution with more DI for a project, and ADAM6050 looks great for that, thanks a lot !
By the way, how did you achieve that job : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sZRh8raZGw, look like an HTML5 features ?

Hi Guilhem Decoux,
Regarding:
By the way, how did you achieve that job....
I did this with NodeRED and such a simple dashboard takes less than half an hour to create.
Someday, I'll find the time to write down how to do it, and I'll share it here.0 -
Hi Guilhem Decoux,
Four years ago, I wrote:

I'm pleased to say that someday has finally come. The details are now documented and available here:

Hi Guilhem Decoux,
We have to ask Jordan IUNCKER, since he reminded me about it. ;-)
