Camera suggestion for Thermal detection and Face detection together.

Hi all

For a project we need a camera that can do thermal detection and provide a high resolution stream for facial detection (we already have the software for facial recognition). Client does not want far east products.  What would you recommend for the camera which is already integrated with NX for thermal alarms and could give a second stream for facial recognition?

  Hi Tolga,

  It is likely you can use Hanwha or AXIS for this project. Nx Witness integrates Hanwha and AXIS by the native manufacturers API. Please test it.

  Regarding so-called "Far East Products", if the customer is really concerning the product, likely there will be very limited choices, as you may know, most of the products might be manufactured by far east factories, and/or the OEM brand of "Far east" brands.  In this case, you can use AXIS as it is all in Sweden. 

  Besides, in your case, it looks like you can use any customer-preferred brands, once the camera is OK to provide standard RTSP stream. Since you have your own face detection parts, and you just need the stream, it is saying you can have the face detection to pull the stream directly if the camera is OK to afford the load.

  Last, I assume you need the event-rules of Nx for thermal detection, however, within your use case, I did not see the problem if you configure the notification on the camera and notify the customer directly. As you have some brand-limitation and limited choice, it is likely you need and should spend more time doing the configuration for the customer in a limited range of choice.
