I'm running NX4.1.0.31398 and trying to integrate a Hikvision DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS/P cameras to pick up ANPR events via the plugin.

The camera is running V5.4.5 build 170731.  On the camera settings > plug in tab I don't see any fields on the left-hand side to allow me to configure it...should I be able to configure it there?

  Hi Gordon Remmington,

  After you enabled the LPR feature inside the camera, you can set up rules in the rules' engine.

  Under the Events, you select Analytics Event and select the relevant camera(s). Under Event Type you can select the preferred LPR event you want for this rule. After the event was set up, the corresponding Action can be configured.

  OK, I get that bit.  On which cameras can I access the analytics directly from the plugin page, as shown on this video?

  Hi Gordon Remmington,

  Currently, the feature is only available for Hanwha Cameras.

  If you want other brands to be supported, please request these via our New Feature Ideas section to raise awareness of the desire for such feature towards our product team and if enough people vote for it, it might make it to the roadmap for future releases.

  Thanks.  I'm now testing with the Hikvision camera as well, just creating a bookmark when there is an LPR event.

  My camera is set up and working fine, and I can see the reg plates from the Real-Time LPR Result on board the camera web interface.

  However I get no events in NX at all.  I've also tried a text overlay and a desktop notification.

  Hi Gordon Remmington,

  There is a bug in the firmware of Hikvision. Ask Hikvision for the latest firmware that resolves this issue.

  • PNO-A9081R
  • PND-A9081R
  • PNV-A9081R

  Back to the Hik ANPR question again.   After setting the rule to 'LPR-Other List' it was working fine...up until v4.2 upgrade on NX a couple of weeks ago.

  Now, the camera is connected to the NX as previously, all firmware is at latest, but I'm still not seeing ANPR events coming in.

  Strangely, if I change the rule from 'LPR' to LPR - Other List'  or back the other way, I see 2 or 3 events - then it hangs and stops.  Changing the rule back again then means I get another 2 or 3 events, but it then stops.

  Camera or NX issue?  Upgrading camera firmware to latest doesn't seem to have solved the issue.
