How much would the system be affected by merging Nx Edge (ARM version) servers together?
AnsweredDear support,
(background) Nx ARM version is running on a camera SoC storing streaming to a SD card.
A customer wants to know how many number of Nx Edge (running on a camera) can be merged together without filling up the SD card. We are planning to test but have no clue which area we should look at.
Customer's question pasted. "What is the max cameras you can have in a hive without a server needed before the database becomes filling for the SD cards. In NX (currently) you join servers by merging the servers together. They share databases to know what is happening on each server. Obviously when a DB is shared it takes up room, have you had any feedback on at what number of systems are merged when camera performance is affected by databased."

Hi Jason Shim
I hope this message finds you well. At the moment, we don't have precise figures available as the feature has not yet been released and fully supported. Our product team, in collaboration with the QA team, is currently working on determining the final numbers, but these only apply to supported devices.
In the meantime, we recommend optimizing the number of ARM devices to a maximum of 2 devices in a system. However, depending on your specific situation, it may be possible to expand this number if the system's hardware capacity allow it.
I also wanted to direct you to a support article that provided additional information when using non-supported hardware. In such cases, it's crucial to conduct thorough testing that closely simulates real-life scenarios. This ensures the accurate development and deployment of specific (ARM) hardware. You can find the applicable article HERE.
Best regards.
