GeoVision / Uniview plugin

I would like to know if there is any plans on the roadmap to extend plugin support to GeoVision cameras. It is my understanding that they are produced by UniView and rebranded as GeoVision.
I have seem some other posts on this discussion board and see a uniview plugin in the plugins_optional folder. Are the plugins governed by the listed manufacturer when cameras are brought into the system matching whatever parameters are in the plugins?

Hope you're doing well! If Geovision happens to be an OEM of Uniview, we might be able to enable the analytics for them too.
If it's not too much trouble, could you please let me know if remote access to the device can be provided via port forwarding? When that's possible, we can certainly look into the available options.
