Problems with POS-Data

Hello, we have problems with the display of POS data in the NX system.
These can be seen in the recorder without any problems, but the RTSP stream
shows them neither in VLC or in the NX system. Is there a way to display
this from the recorder? A "Dahua NVR5208-4KS2" is installed. Thanks very much.

  Hello Stephan Heitzer,

  I hope you're doing well. If the data is not included in the RTSP stream of the primary or secondary stream, it won't be displayed in Nx, as you have noticed.

  However, even if it is included in the RTSP stream, it may not be very useful, as you won't be able to use it to create any actions. Therefore, a better approach would be to send the data as an HTTP request to the Nx Witness mediaserver, where you can add actions such as Bookmark. This will allow you to display a text overlay, filter options, and more.

  I would reach out to Dahua and ask if they can explain how to send HTTP requests from their device, and if this is known, we can provide some guidance about how to process this within Nx Witness.

  Please check THIS support article, and since 5.0 we require at least DIGEST authentication, which means a DIGEST user needs to be created for this purpose as explained in THIS support article.

  All documentation can be found in the server API when you use createEvent as your search term.
