Configuring Recording to an Archive ( Backup)

Our Infra :

>We have installed Nx VMS on 9  Servers , 6 Servers are Live &  2 Server for HA ..

> Total camera 600+ with continues /always recording ..

>We have scheduled 30 days recording ..

>Each Server we have 100 camera with 50TB storage (45 TB  used for 30 days ) ..

>Day 1 to 30 recording on Server

> not configured any backup

Our Requirement :

we required 40 days video on backup server

Day 1- 40 recording on Backup Server with Low Quality video ..

In-case one Server fail i have HA server to record camera live  Video

But  we required old  video  to Playback the Recorded video ..

100 camera Live Recording with 45 TB used for 30 days , what is the Shared storage required for 40  days with Low Quality video ?

> How to calculate the Back storage size  ?

> How to restore /view the backup ?

  To calculate the back storage size, you can use our Nx System Calculator. You can find it at http://nx.networkoptix.com/calculator. I've attached a screenshot for your reference.

  

  As for restoring/viewing the backup, it happens automatically. If you request data outside the local storage range or if the local storage is inaccessible, the system will retrieve the data from the backup storage.
