100% Workload with RTX 4070Ti
CompletedHi there,
I setup for a Customer 5 Systems with NX Witess, the last one have a Problem. the GPU
workload is on 100% and the Videostreams are not smooth.
The System has an Intel i9-13900K 32GB Rams, Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti and runs against the other four Systems on Windows 11 (the others are runnig on Windows 10)
It has 3 Screens with 3 different NX Layouts Main Screen: 30 Substreams with 640x480@7fps@512kps per Stream, Second Screen: 4 Substreams with 640x480@7fps@512kps per Stream Third Screen: 1 Mainstream 2560x1440@20fps@4096kps. Hardware Accelaration is enabled, i allready try it also with disabled Accelration but makes no difference.
On the other Systems its like the same Layout Configuration,
but the other Sytems runnig on a RTX 3080 GPU @ like 30-40% GPU load.
CPU load: 15-30%
used RAM: 40%
The System has all actual Windows & Driver Updates included.
On Windows Taskmanger Ressoures the GPU used only 3D no Encode oder Decode.
Have you any Settings or Solutions to fix this problem for me?
Best Regards
Hermann

Hi Norman, I have a similar issue that I was able to reproduce on different spec'ed hardware, different versions of NX server and clients and newest + most stable Intel gfx drivers
None of the Windows computers I've tested used Intel's decode engine (quicksync?) but the 3D/Compute engine.Obviously this puts more load on the 3D engine as this is being used for all other gpraphic driver consuming programs.
I ran 2x 4k Movies on each of the machines and they used the decode engine. This makes me think that NX Client is not informing the graphics driver that it needs to offload the decoding to the correct engine.
The only system that worked flawlessly was an M2 Macbook! rendered 30+ channels on 2x 4k screens without hitting 50% cpu/gpu
