Individual Channel Backup to Cloud (aka. DropCam/NestCam)
AnsweredMaybe you are already planning something similar for the Cloud Client, but if not...
I would like to see a cloud backup feature on a per channel basis. Just check a box and it saves just that channel to the cloud, with whatever subscription fee needed. Like NestCam maybe have 10 day and 30 day storage options.
Alternatively, if you want to avoid the cloud storage business, maybe you could let people connect the cloud client to a Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive account.
Also provide some bandwidth settings for slow connections. Maybe the DVR records all the cameras at 10 fps, but internet upload bandwidth is only enough for just 4 fps. So we'd want to backup 4 cameras at 1 fps instead or maybe a single camera at 4 fps. Whatever.
Currently there doesn't seem to be any company doing this with a local storage DVR.
What we are currently doing as a makeshift solution for companies that want cloud backup in case someone steals their DVR is to just recommend a NestCam. It would be nice if we could just seamlessly integrate it with the DVR.

Hi Jeff Jones,
We plan to have a Beta Cloud storage ready in 4.2 and depending on feedback we might add it to version 4.3.
This is quite preliminary, but something we currently planned as such, although it might be subject to change. -
Jeff,
Thank you for reaching out.
That is going to be a great feature once implemented.
It's definitely on our list.
