Support QNAP Linux Station
AnsweredQNAP supports the interasting function called Linux Station.

When I tested, there was a problem with activating the license, but the installation was done without problems.
If NxW can support QNAP, I think that it is competitive in small system projects.

Hi Hiroshi Takasaki and Jeff Jones,
I realize this is an old question - but those features are now part of Nx Witness.
Currently, there are 3 options.
- Add the QNAP NAS as External Storage to a supported ARM SBC. This is the preferred and most reliable method, and not the least important, a supported method. More can be read HERE and HERE.
- Through Docker. QNAP supports Docker, and we have released an experimental build for Docker. More can be read HERE and HERE.
- Add Nx Witness in QNAP as a VM. Although we officially do not support the virtualisation option in QNAP, it is used by quite a few people. More can be read HERE and HERE.

Also this similar suggestion.
http://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/205003068I'm wondering, has there been any progress toward this?

And a third suggestion. Apparently the desire for a NAS app is mildly popular.

Hi Jeff Jones,
We are aware there are plenty of such requests, but they all have their differences that might or might not make it possible to use Nx Witness on your preferred platform.
We have to draw a line somewhere, since we do not have the resources to test Nx for all platforms and without proper testing, we just can't support it, although it is reasonable to expect that it will work on the majority of platforms.
I hope this clarified a bit why we have such limitations.
To offer some guidance about this subject, we created a support article about creating your own NVR with our software on your desired platform and/or OS. You can find it HERE.
