DW issues adding multi imager Hanwah PNM-9084QZ1 and issues with XNF-8010RV 360 cams
AnsweredHello,
2 items a customer is seeing recently. They have added Hanwah imagers for some projects and are seeing issues with ONVIF handshaking and streams seem to be locked out.
When adding the multi imagers PNM-9084QZ1 they are not playing nice with licensing, and the images do not seem to come thru. credentials have been checked.
I added a .json file to this system that was provided to fix an Axis multi imager issue recently, but that did not resolve.
I also updated to a custom build to test but it did not impact this multi imager
5.0.0.36065
The paths below are from the 1st camera in the list. I'm not sure what profile info should show from an ONVIF handshake. I do not know offhand how to disable onvif on the Hanwah side of things if that's something that might help.

rtsp://192.168.0.112:554/1/onvif/profile5/media.smp
XNF-8010RV 360 cams seem to connect with ONVIF, but many of them drop and have 2ndary stream disconnects.
I'm happy to provide more details if you need. I have Teamviewer Access.

Ok.. some more playing around.
Credentials don't pass to the camera properly when adding. (if I hilight all the cameras for the multi imager in the tree and choose edit cameras settings.. and go to credentials.. I see multiple values listed.) If I push new creds to them all from here it seems to puill video.
When I look over profiles..
Cam 1 is using profile 1 and 2 now. Nice.
Cam 2 is using profile 2 and 1 now. Out of order for primary and 2ndary stream
Cam 3 is using profile 1 and proflie 10
Cam 4 is using profile 2 and 3.
So on one quad imager I have a mix of MJPG, h264, and h.265.
I modded profiles on the hanwah camera, but wasn't able to make them all work as expected.
Licensing did not seem to be an issue once I had all the streams coming in.. but bottom line, there is a mix up on the ONVIF handshake as far as I can determine.
I can't use rtsp directly because of licensing issues, and I can't mod the steam config in DW to fix because the path is fixed.
FW is up to date on the camera.

Sorry to ramble.. not a complaint about the forum.
This is an example of the 15 minute rule.. leave the user with a problem to stew for 15 minutes and maybe they will fix their own issue. :)
on the multi imagers I realized there are multiple profiles for each stream in the hanwah web interface. I did modify almost all stream configs on all cameras and was able to get the cam to deliver as needed.
Turning on optimization seems to have helped too.
I guess I would like to understand where in the process there is an issue communicating and connecting properly and have a solution.
The profiles in DW for each camera on the multi imager are all over the place for each camera stream in DW. on a 2nd camera of same multi imager.
the 8 camera profiles in DW across 2 imagers are listed below for reference.
After deleting cams and re-adding a few times:

rtsp://192.168.0.117:554/3/onvif/profile3/media.smpI'm interested to also know if this would be an issue on the Hanwah Wave interface for this particular camera model, or if it would know how to handle the streams better when adding the camera.. vs. DW.
Thanks as always.

Hi Matt Barber,
I was on a holiday, therefore some delayed response from my side.
Both Hanwha and Axis use proprietary API's instead of Onvif to communicate with our software for most tasks.
Existing profiles could affect the behavior, and it is recommended to default a device, before adding them to our software.
If after defaulting the devices, they still cause issues, please let us know, and I'll create a support ticket on your behalf and we can investigate the issue through TeamViewer on your system.
