Am planning to implement VMS for below 

#Total 240 cameras, 

#Total  4 VMS Servers  same IP range /subnet 

#Each server will have 60 camera  ...

How may license i have to buy ?

240 camera license or more license  ,since i have plan for 50% failover ..

Requirement # If 2 servers fail remaining 2 server need to  handle live 240 cameras

  Hi sabari rajan,

  One Professional Recording License provides one channel, which is the ability to record an IP video stream from an IP camera, an RTSP stream, or an HTTP link. Therefore you need one recording channel per camera.

  Every Nx Witness license, when activated, is locked to the hardware ID of the computing device upon which it is installed. The activated license can be shared across the Nx servers within the same Nx System, which means, the number you can enable of recording cameras, equals the sum of the license numbers activated on each Nx server within the Nx System.

  In your case, for doing the recording on 240 cameras, you will need 240 Professional Recording License.
  The failover function does not require an additional license, when the failover takes place, since the numbers of the recording cameras do not change, just some of the cameras are taken over by the remaining servers, the required number of Professional Recording License remains the same.
