PTZ Control on Camera Selection - Enable/Disable by Default
AnsweredHello,
We have Nx V4 and I have seen requests for better 'PTZ Functionality', but wanted to confirm a specific feature.
When using a PTZ joystick in a control room environment, is there the option to default to PTZ control on camera selection (so as not click the 'crosshair' icon first in the video windows overlay as this slows things down); many operators struggle to use the mouse to control PTZ, so still use Joysticks/Keyboards (E.G. Axis T8331 which works fine in Nx).
I saw there is a post using "p" to switch to control for PTZ after selecting a camera, is this the only option currently?
It would be useful to have the option to 'default ptz control - enable/disable - on selection'.
Any help appreciated.

yes, P is the option. Another one will be saving layout with toggled PTZ. Once the layout is opened next time -- it will opened with the state of PTZ that has been saved. And then navigation and using PTZ is quick.
We could introduce the setting for the camera in some Future. But we think it could ruin UX, as when PTZ is activated the mechanics of interaction changes drastically (you can't drug the item over the scene).
