Alarm Layouts on Mult-Screen Workstations

How can we control which screen/instance of Nx will the Alarm Layout open?

I am not sure what is the actual behavior of this, but in my test scenario, I opened Nx and then opened a New Window of Nx onto the second screen.

I created a Rule to Open Alarm Layout for my user and connected it to a soft button.

What I see is that the Alarm Layout will only open on the First Nx Window, but not the second.

I tried additional tests and it seems that the Alarm Layout will open always in the “oldest” instance.

Can someone at Nx confirm if that is the current behavior? If yes, I would suggest adding an entry to the “User Manual” with that note.

Regardless, I would like to suggest that the “Save Window Configuration” that is so useful for Multi-Screen workstations could have an added option to select a Window as the Alarm-Window, or something similar.

The scenario I always recommend is to leave one Window open in a smaller monitor that will always be “blank” except for alarms, in installations where there is some Analytics and smart notifications.

The solution I have so far is for the user to have to open a window with a specific user, but this forces the users (secuity guards) to always do the launching manually.
