Feature Request
I’d like to raise a feature request regarding the maximum number of streams that can be saved within Cloud Layouts in NX Witness.
We’re seeing an emerging requirement in control room environments where operators need to display and manage a much larger number of cameras within a single NX Witness window and instance.
The current maximum number of streams that can be saved within a Cloud Layout is 176 and it is becoming a limitation for these larger control room deployments. This is particularly relevant when comparing NX Witness with competing VMS platforms, where larger numbers of cameras can be incorporated into a single operator interface more flexibly.
For larger control rooms, the ability to have hundreds of cameras available across predefined layouts within the same NX Witness instance/window is becoming increasingly important. The current limitation can therefore become a consideration when specifying NX Witness against other platforms.
Could you please consider increasing the maximum number of streams that can be saved in a Cloud Layout, ideally to a significantly higher limit like 400-500 or, if technically feasible, making the limit configurable?
This would provide considerably more flexibility for larger control room deployments and help ensure NX Witness remains competitive for these applications.
Could you please advise whether this is something that could be considered for an upcoming release, and whether there are any current workarounds?
Regards,
Joshua
