In your setup, does each server have it's own camera 1?  Or do you have them all connected so there is only a single camera named “camera 1”?

    Hi Jeff Jones,

Thank you very much for your information!

Our NX system has 4 servers, and each server manages different cameras.
For example: Server 1 has cameras from 1 to 100, Server 2 has cameras from 101 to 201, Server 3 has cameras from 202 to 302, and Server 4 has cameras from 303 to 403.

Normally, when I log into any server, I can see all cameras from the other servers. However, the current issue is that when I log into Server 1, I cannot see Camera 1 (Camera 1 is located on Server 2).

    Please give me your advice!

    Hello Dinh Ngoc Hien,

Your description of the behavior feels like something I had about 2 months ago, where for some reason my System was "out of sync" (not sure if that's the right description, but that's how it felt), this was my experience:

In my situation, connecting to different servers of my System would show different cameras and even different names of cameras, making me feel like some changes were not being properly propagated to all the servers.

The solution provided by Nx was to do the following:

    • Choose one server that seems all correct
      • Connect to that Server
      • Create a System Backup (backup database)
    • Choose one Server that is “out of sync”
      • Initiate the “Reset Server” as a new System
      • Access the new System (empty with no cameras and no connection to the original System)
      • Restore from the system backup

After restoring the “new System” with the backup, it will merge back to the old System and trigger a database sync with all the servers, restarting all connected servers with the correct configuration.

Please note that in my situation, there was an additional issue where all our RTSP cameras lost their secondary streams, but I believe this was due to the way our partner was originally adding the cameras to the System.

No recording were lost, and we never had any other issues.
