Customizing search objects

Hi,

Is there a way to communicate (programmatically) with the Search textfield in Tab search objects? I want to ease the use of the search (instead of enter text, just use a Combobox to pick a choice and send it to the Search textfield).

Or may be can we directly customize the Tab search objects (but I suppose it will be more complicated for you to offer this feature).

  We are trying to implement search by color in a ROI field . We have develop an algorithm for this features but having difficulties to find out how to do it with our plugin . Thank you for you kind help

  Hi Riles,

  We are working on the new objects panel, which will allow the usage of custom filters, including comboboxes with colors. You can check the mockup: https://eg9s4l.axshare.com/#id=djofc5&p=_person&c=1

  I can't tell the release date for it, but I think it'll be included into Nx Meta quite soon.

  We are working on our plug-in under version 4.1 . We currently have few AI features : object detection , face recon , LPR and color detection .

  If you are working on a new object panel , can you please provide us the type of detection list and also color type detected ? It will help us to limit our work on specific target

  The feature is in the development and is subject to change many times and currently can't be recommended as reference for developers.
  Once the feature is ready, it will be included in a MetaVMS release in advance of Nx Witness release in order to be tested and adopted.

  Riles, for now, we recommend narrowing down the color range to a small palette and pass the color name as a text attribute with the detected object.

  This way users at list will be able to use text search in 4.1 and 4.2.

  Does it solve the issue?
