    Hi, jason knoble

Thanks for reaching out to us!

As I see in my systems and as it is presented on your screenshot -- layouts are sorted alphabetically by their names, but there is one more thing -- shared layouts have their own list, and user layouts (your personal ones) form another list -- that's why they're on the bottom. When you share those personal layouts -- they will be moved to the list of shared layouts.
I think it's kinda useful -- you can see not yet processed (not shared) layouts on the bottom of the list (and they have another icon).

Other users' layouts are not present in this list.

    > would be good if you could stop users creating layouts all together.

Can you elaborate -- why do you need this? As I mentioned before, "Layouts" node doesn't contain other users' layouts

    I see. Thanks for that.

Reason why we would like to stop users creating their own layouts is that we have staff who don't have computer accounts and log in to NX with a generic account. Because multiple users use this account they are creating heaps of layouts / duplicating what is already there. Because there are so many they are finding it hard to find the layouts so they create a new one.

One of the improvements we are planning to release is resource tree folders. See https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115010428928-Resources-Tree-Need-more-levels-branches

But unfortunately, folders won't be available in the Layouts node due to technical issues we've faced. Certainly, we'll try to add this in some future, and that might help you -- you will be able to put layouts in different folders.

I won't expect this coming next year, but I hope this will become available on 2-years horizon
