Is it possible to have the Alarm Layout synchronised over multiple Nx Clients?

 

The behavior I'm being asked is that the client wants to have multiple sites doing surveillance monitoring, and there will be a screen dedicated to showing only alarms. It will always be empty except when there is trigger to show alarm Layout.

Because there are multiple people monitoring, they asked if it is possible for the alarms to stay up until anyone in the system removes them?

By removing them, they are acknowledging it and saying everything is fine.

    Yes, I think that's possible. You just need to configure a Soft Trigger, that will trigger Open layout action.
    It can even open different layouts for different users if you need it. But returning all clients to the layouts, that was opened before the Alarm layout is triggered is not possible (there is no "close Alarm layout" action).

    So after someone is acknowledged, he can press this Soft trigger so some default layout is shown on all clients (and Alarm layout is hidden).

    Also, in the future, we'll implement soft triggers on the layout, so you can place it there without camera.

    Please, let us know if this solves your problem. If not -- please, elaborate a bit on what is missing and what scenarios won't be covered by this solution.

    Although I think that if you need to synchronize Alarm layout (so that when it's opened it shows the same cameras on all clients) -- it's not yet possible. Probably, some actions like Close Layout or Delete from layout can be added in future releases to support this scenario, but currently, such features are not planned.
    We've added them as user feedback, so we may include it in the release roadmap.
