Send custom event from Engine

Can I easily send custom/generic events from the Engine instead of Device Agent? My plugin only requires an Engine interface.

  Hi Mike,

  You can send Plugin Diagnost Events from the Engine. They can't be attached to a specific camera, but you can pass information to the system.

   

  If you need the events attached to the camera - you can instantiate 'fake' Device Agent which will do nothing but send events
