Integrating into mobile app
AnsweredWe are a security alarm manufacturer and we are about to integrate DW Spectrum into our end-user app. The plan is to have a DW page on our app that does live video and recorded video to look like the DW Mobile and the NX Witness app, including the scrolling timeline at the bottom to get recorded video. Does that mean we will need to create the scrolling timeline on our own, or is that a control that you offer that we can implement into the app? Just wanting to know how much work our development team is going to have.

Hi Jeff,
Can you please clarify a couple of things:
Do you mean that you want to embed a web page with a camera, or do you want to implement a native screen in a mobile application?
What platforms are you targeting and what frameworks do you use to build the application?
As of today, we do not have any standalone controls we can offer, but it is something we are potentially interested in the long term. That's why the framework and platforms are important: our own mobile application is cross-platform, it uses Qt framework and C++ and probably our code will not be compatible with all projects.

This would be implementing into our end-user apps, both iOS and Android. We use native for both of those projects, so neither of them are cross-platform currently. We also allow customers to view cameras through our website as well, and it's a React Native site.
Thank you for the help.Jeff

Jeff, sorry for the delay.
Unfortunately, most likely we won't be able to provide a suitable timeline component for this scenario due to compatibility issue.
