Nx Version 4 Beta
AnsweredHi,
I just have a couple of questions about the Nx Witness Version 4 Beta.
1) Is it possible to allow push notifications to the mobile app? For instance, if a client has a specific area under surveillance and the camera is set to motion, is the software able to push a notification through so that they are alerted to observe the camera.
2) Is it possible through version 4 to have data analytic reports sent on a regular basis from Nx Witness to an emaill address or URL portal? For example, if we have a client who is using the heat mapping feature or the people counting feature of the camera, can Nx Witness generate a analytics report and send the information onto the client.
3) Is it possible to gain control of the cameras OSD Settings from within Nx Witness or does it have to go through the cameras IP address? Is it dependent on what brand of camera it is?
4) Can Nx Witness recignise multiple Nx Cloud accounts with different authority levels? For example, could there be an admin account that can adjust settings and then have a normal user who can only view footage and another user who might only be able to see certain cameras.

Hi Damien,
1) Push notifications are on our roadmap, but not implemented yet.
2) We don't have built-in feature like this yet, but you can develop a middleware which will retrieve some information from the system, form a report and send it
3) Can you please specify, what are you trying to achieve? I believe we can change internal camera settings for specific camera brands. Basically, if you can change the setting using the desktop client and you see that the settings form is 'native', not through the embedded browser - most likely you will be able to change those settings using server API. But what specifically do you need to change?
4) Yes, you can add multiple 'cloud' user to the system and assign them different permissions
