NOV File Export via REST API

Hello,
The REST API can currently be used to export footage from individual cameras for a given time range, which is great. I do not see any way to export an NOV file for layout Multi-Exports with the API. Is this feature in development? Is there an alternative to do Multi-Exports via an API?

The nov-files generation is performed by the client app on the fly and is not a part of the public API.
Also there are no plans to implement that at the moment.Frankly speaking, we don't get requests about that at all, so there's really no handy recommendation to do the multi-exports rather than if you need to export video chunks for N cameras, just initiate N separate connections over the single-export API methods.

After spending some more time looking at the API and nx_open documentation, I now understand that NOV exports are done client-side. So, would it be possible to add some functionality to the client to export NOVs in a more streamlined way?
The simplest solution seems to me to add a command-line argument for exporting an NOV file of a specific layout on a server for a specified time range. Could the client do this in a headless fashion? There are already command-line arguments for automatically logging in and opening specific layouts, why not close the loop?
Even the ability to manually enter timestamps in the Export Settings, and to create a “queue” of layout exports would improve usability for those of us that export lots of them.

Can you, please, elaborate more on the scenario when you want to automate the .nov export? Specifically, why do you want .nov files to be exported, not a video file, and for what purposes you want to automate this process?
