VMS Media usage exceeds physical disk size after archive reindexing
CompletedHello,
We are experiencing an issue in Nx Witness where the storage usage for media data is shown as exceeding the actual capacity of the physical disk.
Specifically, on a 512 GB SSD, the system displays the VMS Media usage as 642 GB.
Before noticing this, we had performed an archive reindexing and found several errors and warnings in the server logs during that time.
We would like to ask the following questions:
- What exactly does the "VMS Media" usage value (in this case, 642 GB) represent?
- Under what conditions could the displayed media size exceed the physical storage capacity?
- Could this situation potentially affect recording or system stability?
For reference, we have attached both a screenshot and relevant server log entries from the reindexing process.
Environment:
- Nx Witness Version: 5.1.1.37512
- Server OS: Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
- Storage: Local SSD (512 GB)
