Retention period and access to archives
I propose introducing a function that will allow you to set the maximum time for which recordings are stored in the backup memory, regardless of the settings for storing recordings in the main memory.
It would also be good to separate the permissions for viewing the main archive and the backup archive. This will allow you to decide which users have access to the shorter archive and which users have access to the longer archive.

Rather than specifically controlling permissions for access to both main/backup archives, but along the same concept - I think it would be of benefit to control how far back in time a user can view archives (regardless of where they're stored).
Currently ‘View Archive’ is a binary permission per device, a user either has it or not. My suggestion would be to introduce a duration value here so that users who need to be able to look back to recent events (eg. within the last hour or few hours) can have this timeframe configured in the ‘View Archive’ field.

Any version of this idea would be great, but fine grained control would be the ideal (i.e. per camera settings of “live view only”, “live+recordings”, “live+recordings+archive”, and “last ___ minutes" )
