API documentation -- where to find detailed information about thiings such as device capabilities and parameters?

The API documentation available at https://meta.nxvms.com/doc/developers/api-tool/ is a good starting point but where can I find the detailed information about the contents of a response? For exmple, what are the possible entries under capabilities and what do they control?
