Feature Request: Restricted Viewing of Archived Footage
NewHello Everyone,
I've searched through the feature forums and was not able to find a request similar to mine, so I figured I'd post it.
I've seen the requests to encrypt or protect archived footage from deletion; however, I'm curious if it would be possible to add the ability to restrict viewing of portions of the archive.
We use NX Witness at my workplace, and there are times when an incident occurs that we need to consult our HR team for. We do export the footage to protect it from deletion, so this is where my request differs from others I have seen. I'm curious if it would be possible to lock portions of archived footage where only Admins are able to view it, leaving the remaining portions accessible to all users. For example, locking a time segment from 8:25 PM to 8:30 PM on camera A in the archive while allowing video before and after this time on the camera in question to remain accessible.
Our current method is to export the footage and then delete the camera from the system to prevent users from viewing the archive. This method is cumbersome and not efficient. It would be significantly more convenient if we could restrict access to specific portions of archived footage directly within the system.
This feature would help us maintain the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive incidents while still allowing us to manage our cameras and archives effectively.
