I totally agree. Recently we had a situation. In the evening someone opened the gate using soft trigger button and forgot to close it. Gate was opened for whole night and administrator found out about this in the morning. Now administrator wants to find a simple information: which user and from which IP address opened the gate to talk to him.... and there is no such information in the audit trail.

    I noticed Rene posted:

"We have implemented a gate opener via the software trigger. Now 20 users have access, how can I see who has opened the gate?"

I just implemented the same thing and noticed that there is no audit trail for soft triggers. This seems to be a pretty large oversight. There was no audit trail for how gates were being opened outside of their ACS, but putting in Nx somehow seems worse since there is an audit trail, but it doesn't capture a complete picture of what happened in the software.

In the next major version username of user that triggered the event will be in the event log.
