MP4 format not working in some cases.

Hello everyone,

In our company we have several cameras from different manufacturers. Also we have 4 NX servers working as one.

We are using REST API to integrate our application.  To receive video, we use HTTP streaming method. For example, https://localhost:7001/media/XXXXXXXX.mp4?pos=2023-07-20T11:23:48-04:00&duration=5

With some cameras or scenarios, the video could not be retrieved from the VMS using the MP4 format, but when we try to retrieve it using the HLS streaming method, the video is retrieved (using the same timestamp). We have checked that the video is recorded and available in the VMS and that the requested timestamp matches the VMS video timestamp. 

WHAT DO I NEED?
- How do I get the video using HTTP streaming?
- Understand the reason for this issue.

 

EDIT:

We are using NX v5.1.0.37133. Our integration was working before the update to 5.1.

 

EDIT 2:

We have just downgraded our NX systems to 5.0.0.36634. Now everything works as expected. However, we need to know how to solve this problem on NX 5.1.XXXX.

  Hi Miguel,

  I've escalated this issue to a support ticket and we will need to investigate this as well as collect logs. I've asked additional questions on that ticket.
