Audio output from NVR
AnsweredHi, I suggest allowing audio output from the NVR (line out) following an event. For example when an intruder is detected (PIR trigger, motion detection...etc), the server should be able to play a sound file to an attached horn speaker.

Hi, Jay!
there are several ways of achieving that. You can use Axis speaker. Or 2-way audio may be supported for the NVR and you are able to choose Play Sound action in the Event Rules for the NVR. Also, there are Do HTTP request action (https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/222669328-Action-Do-HTTP-Request#:~:text=Do%20HTTP%20Request%20is%20a,systems%20to%20trigger%20additional%20actions.) -- you can send request from Nx to NVR and configure NVR such a way that it will play a sound on receiving this request
BTW, what are you using as NVR?

Hi Tagir,
I sent you a reply yesterday but it seems to have disappeared!
Anyway, I am using a fanless PC - very low power consumption for an application powered by batteries.
Thank you for your suggestion, I have written a script to play the audio file using the 'Do HTTP action', great solution and thank you again.
With kind regards
Jay
