Push notifications not showing thumbnail image

I've got push notifications enabled for both mine and my wife's mobile, mine s22 ultra, hers iPhone 12. They both have been working fine for a year or so. Recently upgraded to 5.0 and on my s22 ultra the notification is received but no image thumbnail with it. The role is set to send us both notification on the same camera rule. No difference if on wifi or mobile data. Have tried the beta apks on your site, both 32 and 64 bit versions and no luck. Anyone else had this, or has anyone reported similar to NX?

    Hi Burak Gures,

    Please assure you are using the latest build of the Nx Mobile app (22.4.35227) and assure all SSL certificates are valid as described in THIS support article, especially the following paragraph:

    How to Renew the Expired Certificate

    Self-signed Certificate from Nx Witness

    Restart the Server to renew its certificate and try again.

    Hi Norman - thanks have restarted the server and certificate is still showing expires in 2026! I believe it wasnt expired prior to restart in any case.

     

    I've changed the security level on my mobile to strict and then changed back to recommended and the prompt to accept connecting popped up. 

     

    Ill see how I go with next notification and let you know.

    Hi Norman, have done the steps in the article, however no luck. Notification comes through but no thumbnail image in the notification like it use to. Any other ideas?

    Hi Burak Gures,

    Actually I do. Could it be that the iPhone is running iOS 16.x?
    Currently, iOS so new that it isn't officially supported yet.

    But the good news is, that last week we submitted a new version of our app to the Apple App store.It should be available any day now.

    Hi Norman, it's working on iOS (my wife phone). It's not working on my phone (Android - s22 ultra).

    In that case, please provide information as mentioned in THIS support article, and create Mobile logs while reproducing the issue and share these or the log ID and described in THIS support article.

    Hi Burak,

    We had the issue confirmed in another system and the fix will be added to version 22.5 of Nx Mobile.

    Release is expected in Q1-2023, maybe we will be able to release it in December 2022.

    Hi Burak Gures,

    I noticed the fix was already added to the source code, and this I have created a private_mobile build. You can download it HERE.

    This should enable you to sideload the app on your phone and the push notification with the image should start working again.

    Hi Norman, was that the correct build? I installed and now I'm receiving no notifications at all.

    Have tried to remove all data and cache on the app settings, uninstall and reinstall (both 32 and 64 bits versions) and no notifications come through at all.

    I have tried to create a soft trigger for them also and, same, no notification at all.

    I have tried one more time and am now receiving notifications but no thumbnail of the image captured in the notification. Just had text. Is there anyway I can upload the pictures to show you what I mean?

    Thank you for the feedback, I'll report it to our developers.

    I understand what you mean, so no pictures needed, if you want to add images, you just can copy/paste them in your reply, or use the image icon in the reply menu bar as highlighted below:

    Although v22.5 will be released later this month, I would like to ask you to verify the fix with THIS private build. Instructions about sideloading on Android devices can be learned HERE
