What hardware
AnsweredHey,
I have about 5 sites now. Small businesses. Each site 5-15 cameras.
I am trying to work out the best hardware solution for NX server. I've been down HP server/windows server 2019 rabbit hole. The issue is so much complexity around setting up the server firmware and server software.
Then I went to desktop Ubuntu. Flimsy hardware and Ubuntu has it's own learning curve, and I cannot manage to get notifications to hide.....
Is there just a box I can buy with NX server on it? my use case for example is to support up to 20 cameras and 2 x 3.5" HDD. Or, a recommended base PC that is reliable that I can put ubuntu on to?
I am a fan of the software, but the hardware challenges are wearing me down.....
Thanks in advance!

Hi Tristan Stania,
You can find the minimum required hardware from here :
For Server : https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/206090177-Nx-Witness-Server-Hardware-SpecsFor Client : https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015815928-Nx-Witness-Desktop-Client-Hardware-Specs
If you want to install the server and client on the same machine, then you can simply refer to the client one.
Or, you can register the MyNx account, then you can find all the information and distributor within your region. They should be able to provide you the box for the Nx Witness.
