Dahua in camera analytics not working.
Answered
Summary: I am unable to get dahua in camera analytics working with my dahua IPC-HDW3841TM-AS cameras.
Environment:
Nx Witness Version: 5.0.0.35062
Client OS: windows_x64
Server: 5.0.0.35062 windows_x64
Network Topology: One server, 10 cameras. Server has two NICs connected to two switches, one for cameras, and one for users/internet. Camera switch is isolated.
Special features: None
Reproduction Scenario:
I have 8 IP8M-T2669E-AI amcrest (same as dahua IPC-HDW3841TM-AS) cameras flashed with the dahua firmware.
I cannot seem to get analytics events or object detection to work.
The dahua plugin shows up fine in the camera settings and the list of possible events shows up when creating rules.
I have enabled "Smart Motion Detection" on all the cameras.
In the camera web UI I can see the "SMT(human)" events being triggered when a person walks by.
The events just don't seem to be received by the server. Nothing shows in the objects tab and rules do not trigger.
I am 100% sure the network connection is good between the cameras and server.

Hi statop,
It seems like the issue will require further investigation, as a result, we would like to connect remotely to your camera with the reported issue in order to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
Would you please port forward the camera and share its details with us?
If this is possible, please confirm, and I'll transfer this topic into a support ticket to enable you to share the credentials privatly.
Best Regards,

Hi Kjetil Gautestad,
There are no known issues for Dahua analytics. But the case statop referred to, wasn't supported yet, but is currently in the process of our QA process.

The feature isn't available yet. Please keep an eye on the release notes for upcoming patches, since we plan to introduce it in one of the upcoming 5.0 patches.
