GETSTATUS COMMAND

good day everybody

My customer has a problem with the getstatus integration command. They have added a hikvision DS-NCW405 camera, using the rtps protocol (rtsp://IP_address:port). the camera transmits over a 3G/4G cellular network. The problem is that when they run the getstatuslist command, it always shows that the camera is online, even though it is offline. I enabled the "enable cameras and automatic server detection" option, but it doesn't update the camera status.

What could be happening?

  Hi Juan Carlos Yáñez,

  Are you sure about the getstatus API call? I assume it would be getStatusList.

  And if I test this in 4.2.0.34860 it returns the offline status correctly.

  1. Camera appears offline in the client
  2. I did a getStatusList for this specific cameraId
  3. And it reports itself as offline in the json output as well.

  

  Regarding:

  I enabled the "enable cameras and automatic server detection" option, but it doesn't update the camera status.

  This is irrelevant to the API calls. These do use the same API, but only apply to the status in the Nx Witness VMS. The API calls are one-time requests. If you want to update the status continuously, you need to create a loop that repeats the API call every X seconds.
