    Hi Jeff Jones,

    Currently, the limitations are known.

The good news is that our developers are improving this feature, and we aim to provide this feature in a 5.0 patch. Unfortunately, I'm not able to provide you with an accurate release date.

Now that 5.0 is out, has there been any updates to a roadmap for updating the Axis plugin?

    Hi Jeff Jones,

Currently, there are no updates, and we still aim to provide this feature in a 5.0 patch, but which one isn't clear at this moment, since we encounter some challenges which might result in postponing the feature to avoid it blocks all progress.

    Hi Jeff Jones,

I'm really sorry to bring you this news, but I just got some disappointing news.

We weren't able to add the LPR functionality into the 5.0 engine. Our integration team will start to write an entirely new engine for the LPR functionality, but as a consequence we have to postpone the Axis LPR integration and won't be able to deliver it in a 5.0 patch.

    Dear Scott Barrett,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to provide you with an update regarding your inquiry. Unfortunately, the situation remains unchanged at the moment, and we do not anticipate any immediate changes in this matter.

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that we aim to delivering a solution in version 5.1 or 5.1 patch.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Hi Norman,

I see in the 5.1.0.36160 beta there was a note of axis LPR now available - I am testing this with Axis Plate Verifier on a P1445-LE-3 on 5.1.0.3629

However i cant seem to get any thing. is there something im might need to do, eith er in the APV or NX side?

    Dear Josh Nightingale,

Thank you for reaching out to me. Based on my previous experience, you can create a rule in Nx Witness that specifies the LPR as the Action and the desired Event. With the new update in version 5.1, you will also have access to additional metadata information.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Best regards,

Can you confirm you got this working?

Being NZ based I have left for the day but will try again in the morning- I’m pretty excited for this as will be some customers once 5.1 is officially released.

    Hi Norman,

Thanks for the info - oddly enough yesterday the APV options were not showing in Nx but were this morning. And I can confirm that it is now working. There is one piece of data that doesn't seem to feed through and that is the vehicle direction.

I can create 2 event types being ALVP:Plate In and ALPV:Plate Out,  and set 2 regions in the camera but then I lose the actual plate data being shown (pic attached). For the use case I will be using it for having the direction isn't an issue, just pointing it out for others.

Thanks again Norman, always you're a wealth of information.

    Hey Josh Nightingale,

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I just wanted to let you know that I've submitted your suggestion for improving the feature, and I referenced your input in my proposal.

I can't make any promises about when or if these changes will happen, but we'll definitely consider it. Your feedback really helps us make our software better, so thanks again!

Let me know if you have any other thoughts or ideas.

    Cheers.
