Hanwha Q series camera IVA Objects question.
AnsweredI have been installing a bunch of Hanwha Q series cameras. Specifically QND-6022R in these screenshots. The AI plugin is working. The virtual line crossings are creating bookmarks as it is supposed to based on my rules settings. My questions is why does it not place an object in the objects tab or zoom in on the object for thumbnail in the events tab. Hanwha thumbnail circled in red. I know that it doesn't have object recognition (vehicle vs car vs animal). I don't need that. I also have a Dahua HDBW5241EP-ZE at this site. See photos on how it zooms in on the objects of the trip wire from the Dahua camera (circled in blue). In the VMS interface it makes it much easier to scroll through the objects or events tab when the thumbnail is zoomed in to the objects like the Dahua tripwire events pictured. In the the camera settings of the Hanwha camera I see the bounding boxes around the objects so it seems that it detects objects in the same method (just without classification). Is it possible to have it appear in the VMS as objects similar to the Dahua plugin? Which would also allow object area searching.

Hi Calvin Wientjes,
Sorry, we missed your topic.
Currently, it is what it is, and you can't change the behavior at this moment.
But I have asked our integration team if there is some we can do to fulfill your request. I'll let you know as soon as I know more.

Hi Calvin Wientjes,
So I discussed this internally and in both cases the implementations correspond with the unique API's for both brands. Some brands offer the crop, other the whole frame.
That being said, we are going to check if we can change this behavior in some way in the future. With future, I mean, at least after the release of version 5.1, since it would require major efforts to change this feature, since it means an entire redesign, and it affects multiple sources (server and client) and thus teams.
