    Hi chris gill,

For investigating the PTT issue, please follow the below instructions for basic troubleshooting.

    1. Update the software and firmware
The latest Nx Witness version is 4.2.0, if your Nx Witness is not running the latest version, you could first try to update the Nx Witness to the latest release.
    Check: https://my.networkoptix.com/#/download
Please also make sure your Axis speaker is running on the latest firmware as well.

    2. Collect the server and client debug log
Please refer to this support ARTICLE to set the log level to DEBUG on both Nx Server and Client.
Once the issue occurs, please collect and share the log files which covered the time of the issue.
Also, let us know the approximate time when the issue occurs.

    3. Capture the packets between the server and Axis speaker
Please refer to this support ARTICLE to capture the packets between the Nx server and the Axis speaker, and share the packets files with us.
For comparing the behaviors, please capture the packets on two conditions:
    1) The Axis speaker works fine.
    2) The Axis speaker stops working.

Please kindly let us know if you have any further questions.
    Thank you.

    Hi Chris

Im currently using the same AXIS speaker. Did you use a HTTP request from NX to fire a virtual input on the speaker or are you using a "hard wired" configuration into the speaker..?

    Thanks in advance

Hi. i can get it to play clips off NX events. its the push to talk that is the most appealing feature but it tends to stop working after a couple of days , quite baffling. sorry for the delay in reply , not here much
