Camera quality
CompletedCan we use API to change the camera quality in a given layout to low?

Hi Piotr,
GUI client selects quality based on its local configuration, so it isn't available via API. You can't force all client to open low-res stream via server configuration, this as to be done individually for each GUI client instance.
You can check this article explaining more details on the subject.
Could you please elaborate more on your use case scenario? When would you need to force low res stream? Is there any issues with the default auto selection mode for your system?

For example, we would like to be able to set a given layout permanently so that the view from cameras was from the second stream because:
1) potential load of the station with a large number of cameras in the first stream
2) displaying a large number of cameras with a small monitor from the first stream is pointless, because we will not see anything exactly
3) now setting the quality to LOW after a while it goes to AUTO anywayWith more than 4 monitors, the automatic setting of some does not work properly, and if the view station has 90% CPU, doing anything on the system is slow.

Hi Piotr,
sorry for the delayed response.
1) potential load of the station with a large number of cameras in the first stream
2) displaying a large number of cameras with a small monitor from the first stream is pointless, because we will not see anything exactlyIn the next release, schedule for the next year, we'll add new configuration for GUI client which will allow you to select low resolution stream as default for all layout. I believe that should provide a work around for your issue.
3) now setting the quality to LOW after a while it goes to AUTO anyway
This seems like a bug. I did a few tests on the test server and couldn't reproduce this issue. Could you please specify your VMS build number and steps to reproduce this problem?
