Avigilon H3 cameras "No Signal" after NX Witness 4.1 Upgrade
AnsweredAfter upgrading to NX Witness 4.1, all of our Avigilon 2.0-H3-D1-IR cameras now have the "No Signal" message. I've tried several things. Restart, remove and re-add. The firmware is at 2.6.0.170(25798) haven't been able to find any updates. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Could you share the below information with us about your problem?
1. The build version of 4.1: You can check it from the Main Menu > About page.
2. The result when you see the No signal message and press the Diagnostic button.
3. Wireshark packet captured on the server machine when you opening the LIVE stream for a while. (See the instruction here)
4. Check if the LIVE stream works fine after enabling "Keep camera Stream and Profile settings" from Camera Setting > Expert page.Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi Wendy,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you (International time difference).
Your task number 4 solved the issue.
So does that mean NX Witness tries to change the camera profile settings, but this model Avigilon camera doesn't allow it? We have several other Avigilon cameras that are OK after the NX Witness upgrade, and all of our Axis and Vivotek cameras were unaffected.
Thank you

Just take your time. When "Allow system to optimize device settings" is enabled under System Administration > General page, VMS will capture the camera's preset image quality and stream configuration then optimize these settings. Typically, it should work without any issue. But sometimes the device does not accept some request for an unknown reason and causes the problem. The temporary workaround is to enable "Keep camera stream and profile settings" option.
We still need your help to collect the previous 3 tasks since we have already applied some improvements in the latest patch. It will help us to know if the change is workable for your case.
Thank you.

Please upgrade your Nx server to the latest patch first since it should include the improvement of your problem already.

Hi Wendy Chuang,
Excellent. The patch has worked on our test system. No problems with an Avigilon 2.0-H3-D1-IR camera connected to it.
I'll schedule the patch install on our production servers, hopefully next week.
Thank you.
