    Hi Jordan IUNCKER,

I moved this topic to the New Feature Ideas section so our product team and design team will be noticed about this demand. At this stage you can use the in-camera OSD or the Add Text option in the export.

    Hi Jordan IUNCKER,

In that case, at this stage, the only option is the use of the camera OSD.

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us!
we don't have this feature yet. But if we would add a possibility to put a template like {device.name} in the existing text input for export and then it will be saved in export settings and will be applied to all further exports -- would that help you?

Also, do you need the name of the camera from VMS (you can change it to Front Door, for example) or should it be a device model name?

Also, as I understand, you use this screenshot option and you want some overlay to be applied when a screenshot is made?

Unfortunately, we don't have any settings that apply to the screenshot. We will consider adding them in the future, but for the time being, as Norman said, the most convenient option will be configuring it on the camera itself. You can use the embedded camera webpage that we introduced in 4.1

I need this settings as default for all device.

Is a Law in French, an operator can't have the possibility to remove the name on an export/screenshot.
So if you add this in "Add Text", and if an operator remove this... if the system save this for all further export.. it's a big problem again....

In France, the name that appears on the export or screenshot must be the same as the camera name entered on the server.

    ----

About screenshot, yes my operator use this screenshot option to export any image for police.

In Nx, you have TimeStamp setting like this :

So you can add here a settings to set the Name of Camera too, and use as default the name entered on the server.

    Hi Jordan IUNCKER,

If the law is that strict, I doubt we can make it in a way that you can't alter the text.
I assume the safest way is to use the camera OSD since then it embedded in the camera screen and recorded as such, so changing that name will never affect the name in the stream.

We can't use OSD, because an OSD can hide a face or anything else...

I understand your concern, that operator may delete this.. but we don't have system settings for this, that is what I meant. As for me, the most convenient way would be adding it to the same export and screenshot dialogue that we have (as you suggest)

But unfortunately, the one that is making an export/screenshot will always have a possibility to uncheck this and make an export without a camera name.

So if it's a law, that operator can't even have a possibility to remove the name on export/screenshot -- then it should be in some System settings section and the operator must not see this option when doing an export/screenshot.
This will be too complicated, and we don't plan this, unfortunately

If it will be added -- it will be in the dialogues that you attached, that is smth that can be implemented in some future releases (not the upcoming ones, though)
