Hello Fredrick,
In an upcoming release we are going to introduce ONVIF-based event support where many of the mentioned analytics features will likely be supported. If of course certain cameras will have it actually working on the board.
Just FYI, trying to implement ROI-related Dahua analytics features in 4.1 via their own proprietary driver we found out that cameras work very inconsistently. Different camera models that claim support of a certain feature with same firmware either tended to behave differently under same commands or just unexpectedly stopped raising analytics signals.

Dahua got an insane amount of camera models. What if you focus on integrating the WizMind Series first?
I would prioritize them in the following order:
- 5-Series
- Panoramic
- Special
- 7-Series

These should have a more consistent results.

Any news on the ROI-related Dahua analytics?
What models are you testing with?

we haven't reached the testing stage yet with Dahua cameras. We are still waiting for cameras to finalize the implementation of the plugin. Unfortunately, there are some logistics or communication issues between Dahua and Nx, so Dahua support will be released later than other cameras' support.
We mostly focus on thermal cameras support now (e.g, Dahua DH-TPC-BF3221-T). Basically, the same functionality we've released for Hikvision cameras in the latest patch.I don't know how marketing names for Dahua cameras relate with their firmware and API/events support, so I can't say for sure what cameras will be supported eventually. Only testing with a specific camera can confirm compatibility

If it could help to speed up the process I got a lot of Dahua cameras here witch I can give you remote access to.
What models are you planning to test?
You can contact me direcly with my first name @gdx.no
Dahua got one API document that cover all models.
Then they market each product with what analytics it will support.
But for testing I strongly recomment that you use some of the most popular models.
They wil have firmware updates and bugfixes frequently. Every month usually. If you choose an obscure model, the firmware might be a year old and you will struggle a lot with stupid bugs.0 -

Thanks, that is great!
I'll pass your suggestion to our project manager, who will facilitate further interaction.
I'm not sure if they need local access for the dev team, but afaik remote access can be enough in some cases.
Anyway I think they'll contact you0 -
Hello guys,
do you have something new in this thread?
I just tested camera DH-TPC-BF3221-T and for example tripwire detection (People approach) is still missing.
thanks
Henrich

We support the following in-camera analytics as listed in THIS support article.
For Dahua Tripwire detection (Cross line detection) is one of the supported events.
I would do the following to troubleshoot this issue;
- Remove the camera from the system.
- Start Wireshark with the applicable device as a capture filter.
- Add the camera to the system again.
- Wait until the camera is discovered, and the rules can be seen in the rules engine.
- Stop Wireshark
- Search for the getExposureEvents string in the Packet details and when you follow the HTTP event, you should have a list of supported events that were listed by the camera.
If the tripwire is list in the Wireshark output, but isn't listed in Nx, please share the Wireshark capture, and we will investigate it. If the tripwire isn't in the Wireshark output, please share the Wireshark capture with the Dahua team for further investigations.
Please if you need support from us, kindly create a topic in the applicable section (HERE) so we don't pollute this section, and it gets the attention from the right people.0
