I am in the process of specifying hardware for a NX system upgrade and in the process have been asked to supply options for 30/60/90 days recording. Someone had mentioned to me in the past that NX has issues with drive capacities over 8TB, although I dont understand how this could be a problem unless we are using SMR technology based disk. As you can understand building an array of disks for storage will be my best option and for the longer required storage duration i will be looking at using high capacity CMR enterprise drives. Just wanted to get confirmation from someone there that using high capacity drives isn't a problem so long as the hardware design is adequate for the system to operate correctly.
