Adding an MQTT action would make integration with multiple systems simple (Home Assistant/Node-RED).

  As discussed with you in another thread,

  Our strategy here is to improve the HTTP request event. E.g., we'll consider adding a plain-text field in the Event Rules for the HTTP headers
  
  MQTT and custom actions will stay it in the ideas section for now
  basically, it means that we won't do this until "HTTP headers" is released.

  I had the same idea and did something about it, http request events are not so usefull for smart city and smart factory applications.

  Stefaan Joos Thanks for the reply. And that's a great project. I'll certainly keep it in mind. What I'm looking for currently is an MX event action that can dispatch an MQTT message.

  Stefaan Joos Can you send me some info on what you did there for the MQTT message? The integration seems to have disappeared from the integrations marketplace. There used to be more there but maybe some of it has become incompatible or something?
