Any progress on ONVIF events now?

According to this article it was planned for 4.1:

    Hi Fredrik Ahlsen,

Onvif Analytics are 'In Progress' at the moment, meaning that it is being worked on. Unfortunately I cannot provide a solid release version at this moment.

Ps. I changed the release version in the article into Future Release, since it doesn't make sense to mention a version number if expectations aren't met.

Onvif Analytics support would be awesome. Milesight has written a custom ONVIF firmware to support such events using the ONVIF Analytic Standard:

    • Line Crossing
    • Field Detector
    • Human Detection
    • Vehicle Detection
    • Tamper Detection

Support for events from the new Onvif prifiles with metadata would be very nice.

Thank you, but does it support ONVIF Profile S that includes Motion alarm and tampering events?

With motion alarm, I mean motion events as detected by the camera, not by the server.
I can't find a way to make NW Witness see the motion alarms that are generated by the camera, and send to the VMS thru ONVIF?

    Tnx.

    Hi Fabian,

Unfortunately, such features are not being worked on at the moment. It is listed internally, but currently with a low priority due to a lack of resources. We understand your eagerness to have this request implemented, so we will take your feedback into account for future feature discussions.

Please feel free to send us any other comments or questions and have a great rest of your day!

    Agreed!

My HikVision bullet camera is only being recognised by NX Witness through ONVIF...the usual HikVision-CGI mode is ticked but not being recognised by NX. As a result I can then not run smart event analytics.

How do I get NX to recognise the camera through HikVision-CGI?

The HIKvision bullet camera model is DS-2CD2T47G1-L (but for some weird reason the system is recognising it as DS-2CD2T47G3-L)

The firmware is 5.6.820 build 220519

Hi, so do I understad correctly that NX-Witness can not receive any ONVIF event? (Thru standard ONVIF pull point subscription)
    Please advise.

    Hi Henk Heijmink,

Nx has already supported the ONVIF event for the I/O service. ONVIF Profile M is currently on the development roadmap.

    Thank you.
