Set timeline to last 24 hours at login.
AnsweredCan we get a setting in the client to have the timeline automatically zoom to the last 24 hours upon login? Maybe even make that the default setting at install. Seems like most of the time people are wanting to view the last 24-72 hours anyway.
When you get 3-4 months of footage on a DVR the full view is almost always not what people want to see. I think it would save time on a regular basis to just start at 24 hours and scroll out if needed, instead of always starting wide and having to scroll in or date-pick to get close.
In the calendar picker you might also put a dedicated button to show the full timeline.

Hi Jeff,
I leave it up to our product managers to take this request into consideration, but I would like to inform you about the following.
When you click on the calendar symbol in the bottom-right corner and pick a date, the timeline change from 0:00 to 23:59 of that specific day. In case you select the current day the timeline will show from 0:00 till the current time.
When you select a date and an hour, the timeline changes to the beginning and the end of the hour that was selected.
In this way, there is no need to scroll the timeline.

I agree that this would be a nice preference option. We have 4-5 months of archive, and 99% of the time its 24-48 hour review. It's a LOT of scrolling to get to what you want. But pinning the calendar is helpful also.
I LOVE seeing the whole timeline, it makes archive assessments quick and easy.

I'd really like to see this as well, we have situations where we have 5 years of footage on some cameras and having it default to say the last 12 hours would be great, or even better a configurable default as I imagine everyone has different requirements here. I agree the calendar option is a work around to the scrolling but does involve more clicks.
