Showreel on Video Wall

Have just done a site with 3 large screens set up using video wall.
This works well, however, the operators are asking about getting a showreel to play on the video wall. the site has over 150 cameras and the operators find they are jumping from layout to layout on their work stations to check up on cameras rather than having them sequence automatically on the video wall.
I couldn't make it work so have assumed that NX cant do it (yet)

This would be great for some of our sites as well. We have plans for some video walls with no user interaction, just for glance overview of all the cameras. But I'd much rather set it up to cycle through 3 layouts with 8 cameras each, rather than 32 on one screen. This is better for processing resources as well.

Can we expect the function to start a Showreel on a VideoWall for a future version?

Agreed that this would be massively helpful, especially since NX has such great support for embedded websites. Low end hardware but high camera numbers requires this functionality for display screens. We have 12 display stations currently planned, and we'd much prefer a single screen with a showreel than multiple screens.

Hi all!
This is a great idea, and we considered adding it several times, but each time it was postponed in favor of other features.
Unfortunately, the same situation with 4.2: this feature is not in the roadmap.
While we were estimating this feature, the main problem for us was the user rights system.
When the admin puts a layout on the video wall, all users who can manage video walls will get access to the cameras on it.
It's a bit more complicated for showreels because showreel may include a layout. So technically, all video wall operators will have access to all layouts used in the showreel used in the video wall — one more layer.
Because of the user rights system involved, these changes require more dev efforts, and it gets postponed.
We understand your eagerness to have this request implemented, and we will try to implement this in one of our future releases. This request is popular, and we understand its value for our users.0 -

no not in V6 and no one at NX seems to want to be able to do it. Same as the rules engine revamp that was promised several years ago!
