    So the reason it wasn't recording on motion was because the Uniview cameras secondary stream resolution was set to 1280x720 (my "Optimize camera settings" were disabled so the server basically wasn't allowed to properly configure cameras) and the Second Stream Resolution was out of 1024x768 limits which disabled default motion detection.

    so i changed the second stream to 640x360
