    Hi Lorenz,

I recommend checking the GOP (Group of Pictures) settings on the camera. The VMS selects the nearest key frame to generate snapshots. By adjusting the GOP to shorten the interval between key frames, you increase the likelihood of capturing the correct frame.

In my test environment, I have a VIVOTEK device (FD9165-HT) configured with a key frame interval of 1 second—referred to as the "Intra Frame Period" in the VIVOTEK interface, and the correct frame is provided in case of an event.

Please note that, by default, it isn't possible to retrieve the accompanying clip through email events.

Let us know if you need further assistance!

    Best regards.

    Hi Lorenz

How did you set the time of your camera and server ? Do you use a NTP server ? Do you have the exact same time between the camera and server ?

And I agree with Norman for the GOP settings, you have to reduce it for more "real" images.
