Cannot get Axis Object detection analytic to flow into Objects pane in Wisenet Wave
AnsweredWindows 11 PC server
Wisenet Wave server running 5.1.3.38363
Axis M2036LE. firmware version: 10.12.166
Axis Object Analytics app version: Version: 1.1-8
We have successfully gotten the Object analytic to trigger a bookmark but the object data does not show up in the objects pane. Is there a way to get objects into the native objects pane within Wave?
Upon setting up rules for the analytics there are 2 options for the “when”. First option is Analytics Event which then lists Axis Object Analytics as the only “event type” option. This seems to work for bookmarks but no object data in the objects pane.
The second option under “when” is Analytics Object Detected. There is no option for “object type” under this analytic.
Am I missing something or is the object data not part of the axis analytic integration?

Hi Calvin Wientjes,
Are you sure the Analytics Objects create the bookmark? In your screenshots, I also see Analytics Event as the Event, which is different than Analytics Objects, and the Events won't appear in the Objects tab.

“Analytics Object Detected” does not create the bookmark. It seems that option doesn’t create an event or anything at all. The only option for “when” that creates an event is When: Analytics Event then Event Type: Axis Object Detection.

Noted. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi Calvin Wientjes,
It is a bug, and I made an internal request to fix it as soon as possible.

Great. 2 big things I was hoping to accomplish with this Axis analytics camera. 1. Object populates in object pane in Wisenet Wave. 2. The info that comes into Nx differentiates between a different scenarios created within the Axis Object Detection camera app. We would like to be able to alert on separate areas of the camera and have them labeled as such for bookmarks and notifications. Even just some kind of differentiation in the description or caption would work for that.

Hi Calvin Wientjes,
I made a mistake during the reproduction, and there recognized it as a bug, however, this wasn't the case.
I used an Axis Virtual loan of a comparable model (M2035LE) and tried it.
As you noticed, the Axis Object Analytics is recognized as an analytics event, instead of an Analytics Object, this is due to the way the ACAP application has been build. We can't change this behavior.
When I use the Analytics Event, the events are received within our VMS, however my testing options are limited, since I only have access to the Virtual Loan environment, and I'm not able to generate actual events, only the Test alarm option.
However, I assume in case of actual events, some data is sent by the ACAP application, like Human or Vehicle and depending on how the information is parsed, you most likely can add such keywords to the Caption or Description field of the Event configuration. If you encounter issues, in configuring the rule, we're more than happy to have a look at your system. Just let me know and I'll open a Support Ticket on your behalf to continue the conversation.

Text does come across in the caption now and it is specific to the event. I don't know why it wasn't doing that at first. I don't think I did any updates.
My main concern at this point is that there is no object data in the objects pane within Wisenet Wave. That has been by far our most loved feature of analytics integration. Do you know if an object should be populating in that pane or not based on the way ACAP is built?

Hi Calvin Wientjes,
Functionally, it performs object detection, but from an integration standpoint, the ACAP sends events instead of objects, and therefore the objects won't appear in the object pane.
Best regards.
