    Hi Guys,

Ye we have a similar request. We have 30 odd sites that we have installed NX at. Almost all of those sites require Audio permissions. In Queensland Australia, the law states that it is illegal to record conversations, however in certain circumstances they can be used in a court ruling. The easy way to fix that would be to not allow users to have access to the audio stream, but to let police have access to it - possibly by the owners account or a specific user account that could be setup for use b police or an elevated operator. I would assume that other countries have a similar privacy act in place.

Any chance this could be implemented as there seems to be a very real use case, and is integrators are not asking for this, they probably should be.

    Kind Regards

    Ben

Ideally, it would be granular so that users/roles can be assigned per camera and separate for live listening, talking, and playback audio, as well as recorded audio for the camera config.

    Hi all,

I'm pleased to announce that we have begun working on a separate audio permission feature. We plan to include it in the next major release following gen6, with an estimated time of arrival in Q1 2025.

I acknowledge that this has been requested for some time, and I want to assure you that it is in progress. Thank you for your feedback!

    Hi,
is there a known date for when the audio permissions option will be added?
I urgently need separate options in live view and archive.

Due to a shift in release times, it is planned for Q4 2025. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We will try to do a Beta until Q2 2025.
